coyote workshop

Last Friday, the Peninsula Humane Society (PHS) hosted a workshop titled, "Inside the Loves of Urban Coyotes".  It was a packed house with residents from all over the Peninsula in attendance.  The workshop featured a talk and photos taken by Janet Kessler, a naturalist who is in her 13th year of daily field research (ethology), observing and photo-documenting urban coyote behavior and coexistence.  View the handout that Janet shared with attendees here, along with her website, www.coyoteyipps.com.  The below video captures much of what Janet shared with the audience:

We know that coyotes have been seen more regularly in Brisbane, and thus have created this page to keep the community apprised of how to co-exist with urban coyotes.  If you want to report an aggressive coyote, please call (415) 508-1212.
