Last Friday, the Peninsula Humane Society (PHS) hosted a workshop titled, "Inside the Loves of Urban Coyotes". It was a packed house with residents from all over the Peninsula in attendance. The workshop featured a talk and photos taken by Janet Kessler, a naturalist who is in her 13th year of daily field research (ethology), observing and photo-documenting urban coyote behavior and coexistence. View the handout that Janet shared with attendees here [1], along with her website, www.coyoteyipps.com. [2] The below video captures much of what Janet shared with the audience:
We know that coyotes have been seen more regularly in Brisbane, and thus have created this page [3] to keep the community apprised of how to co-exist with urban coyotes. If you want to report an aggressive coyote, please call (415) 508-1212.
