Youth Advisory Committee - For Brisbane Youth Ages 12-18

The Brisbane Parks & Recreation Department is actively seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated teens to join the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). Committee members have the important duty of advising the Parks & Recreation Commission and  Recreation staff on the programs and issues that concern the youth and teens in the Brisbane community. This is a great way to get involved in your community and make a difference.  YAC members will also participate in the annual YAC Attack event through the California Parks & Recreation Society. YAC Attack is a one day educational leadership conference for YAC members from all over Northern California. Applications will be reviewed as they are received by YAC Advisor, Ricardo Monroy, and Recreation Supervisor, Steve Beaty.  Once a committee is established, meetings will be scheduled on Wednesday evenings once per month. For additional information, please contact Ricardo directly at rmonroy@ci.brisbane.ca.us or 415-508-2143. If you are interested in serving on the YAC, please click here for the full flyer and application.
