A strong wind event coupled with high temperatures and low humidity has resulted in the National Weather Service calling for a Red Flag Warning in much of the Bay Area Saturday night through Monday morning.
The City of Brisbane is not currently expected to be impacted by a PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), though surrounding areas as close as South San Francisco may be this weekend.
Find out if your service may be impacted by a PSPS event here: www.psps.ss.pge.com.
If PG&E expects service to an address to be impacted, they will attempt to call, text, or email by using the phone number or email address currently on file. Please sign in and update your contact information here.
To prepare for the PSPS, PG&E is asking customers to:
For more information on what to do before and during a Public Safety Power Shutoff, please visit PG&E's Outage Readiness Page.
For traffic updates on the surrounding area, please visit 511.org.
Please only call 9-1-1 if you are experiencing a medical or life-threatening emergency.
And finally, a reminder to sign up for SMC Alert by either visting www.smcalert.info or by texting your zip code (i.e. "94005") to 888-777 to just opt in to receive SMS alerts. SMC Alert is what the City will use to contact residents in the event of a major emergency.
