Caltrain’s plans describe a "transformational" future that will triple the number of people that Caltrain serves and introduce a show-up-and-go schedule that "works for everyone, all day".

In August 2019, Caltrain staff introduced a draft Service Vision for the future of the Caltrain corridor.  In October 2019, the Caltrain Board will be voting on whether to adopt the draft Service Vision.
