The Maker Faire celebrates the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset and is an amazing showcase of creativity and cool technology.  It's stimulating, inspiring, and fun for all ages.

This year, San Mateo County Environmental Health will be hosting a booth at the Faire, and at it, staff from the Countywide Water Pollution Prevention Program will be handing out a "recipe" ring they've developed for homemade cleaning products.  There will also be giveaways of alternative non-toxic cleaning products.  This is great for folks with kids and pets, and anyone who want to use less toxic chemicals in and around the home.

The Maker Faire will be held rain or shine at the San Mateo County Event Center (1346 Saratoga Dr., San Mateo), Saturday May 21st from 10:00am - 8:00pm and Sunday May 22nd from 10:00am - 6:00pm.  Tickets can be purchased on-site or in advance.  Click here to purchase tickets or for more information.
