Friday AM Press Conference

At 9:30am, Assemblyman Jerry Hill held a press conference in front of VWR, located on at 3745 Bayshore Blvd.  He was joined by Brisbane Mayor Cy Bologoff, Councilmembers Sepi Richardson, Clarke Conway, and Cliff Lentz, City Manager Clay Holstine, and Administrative Services Director Stuart Schillinger. 

Representatives from the Teamsters and the San Mateo County Central Labor Council, who testified at Monday's hearing, were also present to support Assemblyman Hill's introduction of legislation eliminating intra-state tax breaks for companies who re-locate within California and receive taxpayer dollars for doing so. Assemblymember Hill's bill will be retro-dated January 2011 and be heard by the legislators in June.  It will require a two-thirds vote to pass.
