If you're a Comcast subscriber, you may be aware of the government-access channel, Ch. 27.  On it, public meetings such as City Council, Planning Commission, Open Space & Ecology, and Parks, Beaches, & Recreation Commission meetings are shown.  Often, they are replayed in case you happened to miss the live meeting.  In addition, the City tries to provide educational programming in the slots that public meetings aren't being played.  For instance, one of the programs now playing on Ch. 27 is "What Every President Should Know About Energy Efficiency, Part 1".   In it, a physics professor explains what every US President should know about energy. How do the global issues of climate change and energy security impact U.S. efforts toward gaining energy efficiencies and conservation of resources? The CA PUC commissioner relates how California utilities are achieving energy efficiencies.  Check the programming schedule for when it airs next, and maybe you'll like it so much, you'll want to check out Part 2, which airs next Monday, November 8th.  And, as always, Ch. 27 streams live on the City's website, just in case you don't subscribe to Comcast.
