King Tides & Coffee in Half Moon Bay
Saturday, January 19, 8:00 AM

King tides are the highest tides of the year and help us visualize what every day water levels could look like with sea level rise. San Mateo County's Office of Sustainability is hosting "King Tides & Coffee" to inform the public about king tides and sea level rise. Peak height will be 6.6 ft at 8:12 AM.

Please join San Mateo County Supervisor Carole Groom, Supervisor Don Horsley, and staff to learn more about the current projects the County and others are working on to reduce impacts from flooding and erosion due to sea level rise.

Agenda

8:00 AM – Meet at Surfer’s Beach and enjoy a warm cup of coffee
8:15 AM – Guided walk along the shoreline with County staff
9:00 AM – Presentations, activities, coffee, & bagels within the parking lot of Miramar Beach Restaurant

Visit the event website for updated information, speaker list, & parking information. To reduce waste, please remember to bring a personal mug for coffee.
