Date:
05/12/2015 - 8:00am to 3:30pm

In preparation for the upcoming wildfire season, fire companies from North County Fire Authority and CAL-Fire, including all other local fire agencies within the County, will be participating in training exercises in three different jurisdictions across San Mateo County.  One of the communities selected for this training exercise was the City of Brisbane, due to the area’s potential for brush fires, the difficult road access, as well as egress, and homes that back up to the vegetation.

The date of Tuesday May 12, 2015, has been selected for this training exercise to be conducted within the City of Brisbane, which is planned to begin approximately 8:00 AM and conclude around 3:30 PM.  For this training, fire companies will be utilizing the areas of Trinity Road and Kings Road and will be near homes along these streets, as well as the open space areas around those same homes.

Please be advised that you will see numerous fire companies in the area on that day and possibly a helicopter in the sky as part of this training exercise.  Additionally, an important element is allowing firefighters in San Mateo County the opportunity to become familiar with the topography within the City of Brisbane and the ability to practice navigating fire apparatus on narrow streets, such as those located right here in the City of Brisbane, so we want to apologize in advance if the fire engines create any inconveniences for you.  If you have any questions about this event, please contact Deputy Fire Chief Robert Fisher at (650) 991-8090.
