B. Ballot Measure for November 2018 Concerning the General Plan Amendment (Page 8 of Staff Report)
 
(This item is being continued from the City Council Meeting of June 21, 2018.

The purpose of this public hearing is for members of the public to comment on a proposed General Plan Amendment for the Baylands that would allow for a range of 1800 to 2200 residential units, up to 6.5 million square feet of new commercial development,500,000 square feet of hotel, and companion performance standards and policies including, but not limited to, landfill closure, site remediation, water supply, fiscal impacts to the City, habitat and cultural resource preservation and enhancement, sea level rise and sustainability.


The purpose of the public hearing is also for members of the public to comment on the Final Environmental Impact Report and the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program concerning Baylands development.

The public may also comment on a proposed ballot measure for November 2018.

City Council will not be taking final action on any of these items on July 12, 2018 but the public hearing on all items will be continued to July 19, 2018 at which time City Council may take action on these items.
