Brisbane was awarded the very first Gold-Level Beacon Award by the Institute for Local Government (ILG) at the League of California Cities conference in San Jose today!  Mayor Terry O'Connell accepted the award on behalf of the City from Chris McKenzie, Executive Director for the League of California Cities.  The Beacon Award recognizes an agency’s holistic approach to addressing climate change and Brisbane is the first local government in the state of California to receive a Gold-Level Beacon Award.  Click here for the press release from ILG and here to view a video featuring each of the award winners, also by ILG.
