So mark your calendars and get on your hiking shoes!
Supervisor Jacobs Gibson initiated "Take A Hike" three years ago as a way to encourage residents to become more active and learn about the beautiful parks and trails in San Mateo County. On April 9, the Supervisor will welcome hikers and introduce the 2011 season, which features a new schedule of parks and trails, including a special “Dog Days of Summer: Bring Your Dog” walk in August.
Known for its wild flowers, San Bruno Mountain is the ideal location for an April walk. Participants will be guided by a park ranger who will discuss the park’s history and uniqueness. Participants of this first hike will receive an official "Take A Hike 2011" T-shirt.
