      A.     Conference with legal counsel regarding 1 case of potential litigation, pursuant to Government Section 54956.9

  IV.     NEW BUSINESS

            A.     Consider appointment of Bonnie Bologoff and Renee Marmion to the Parks Beaches and Recreation Commission to fill the two terms that expire in January 2012

                     (There were three applicants to serve on the Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission and the City Council had scheduled this date to interview the applicants and determine who to appoint to the two expired terms.   Subsequently, one of the applicants, Peter Stiehler, called and withdrew his application to pursue other endeavors.)
