Monsters in Crocker Park

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

No, those aren't the Ghostbusters you see up there, but...they ARE Monsters.  That is, employees of Monster Cable Products, Inc. in Brisbane.  On September 21st, a group of 20 Monster employees descended upon Crocker Park Recreation Trail (CPRT) to help clean up debris along the trail.  Splitting into two teams, they started at opposite ends and eventually met in the middle -- filling up 3 trash bags.

Thank you, dear Monsters, for your efforts in helping keep Crocker Park Recreation Trail a great amenity for everyone in Brisbane, residents and employees alike.  We truly appreciate all your hard work!

The City of Brisbane is inviting licensed contractors to submit the name of their firm to the City for inclusion on its 2011-2012 List of Qualified Contractors.  Depending on your firm's classification, your firm will receive Notices inviting Informal Bids as projects come forward.  Please see the required application form by clicking here (found on the Public Works Applications and Forms page).

Sand Bags Available

One can never be too prepared!  Sand bags are now available atop two palettes outside the gate of the Public Works Corp Yard, located at the intersection of Tunnel Ave. and Lagoon Rd.  Each sand bag weighs approximately 15 lbs. and are free for the taking.  So please stop by and pick up the amount you need...more will be made by the Public Works crew as necessary to ensure the community has what it needs to guard against flooding during the rainy season.  And, the below pics illustrate how Dolan, Joe, and Keegan from the PW crew got sand bag-making down to a simple, easy process -- with the help of some safety cones acting as pastry bags.  Now, that's creative.  Good work, guys!
