Congratulations to Capt. Rosenlund!

On July 1, 2019, Capt. Dave Rosenlund with the Brisbane Fire Department worked his last shift.  After 33 years of service to the community, he decided it was time to hang up his boots.  We have been so fortunate to have him so long with the city, and wish him the best as he enters this new chapter in life!  He plans to travel, visit family down under, and take some surfing trips.  Congratulations, Dave, and surf's up!

Construction Work on Tunnel Ave

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Please be mindful of construction work occurring on the Brisbane portion of Tunnel Ave, which runs south of the Caltrain Station to Golden State Lumber.  Preparation work prior to paving has already begun and will continue on Friday, June 28.  The contractor will be doing local pavement repairs and leveling (filling in some low spots) with asphalt concrete.  Paving will be done on Saturday, June 29.  Manhole covers will also be lowered as part of this project to allow for an even smoother ride!  Please be careful around the crews working from about 6am - 4pm.  In July, the repaved roadway will be striped, including new sharrows and signs to alert motorists to share the road with bicyclists.  The project is funded in part by Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, as well as Federal Local Streets and Roads funding, state gas taxes, Measure A sales tax funds, and impact fees.
