At last night's City Council Meeting, Chief Lisa Macias introduced new Brisbane Police Sergeant Cecilia Garay, who started in her new role with Brisbane in May.  Cecilia graduated from Jefferson High School and then joined the United States Army Reserves where she served for 6 years.  She completed her studies at Notre Dame University where she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Human Services and a double major in Public Administration and Counseling.  After her service in the military, Cecilia began her law enforcement career with the Broadmoor Police Department as a Police Cadet/Explorer, and then as a Police Reserve Officer.  She later accepted a job as a police office for the Colma Police Dept., taking on responsibilities of Field Training Officer, Detective, Acting Sergeant, Community Service Coordinator, and Public Information Officer.  In 2012, she joined the Daly City Police Department as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Acting Sergeant, and served two terms as a Detective.  Cecilia comes to the Brisbane Police Department with over 20 years of law enforcement experience and we are lucky to have her on-board!
