VII. PUBLIC HEARING
(In April of 2009, the City Council adopted an ordinance establishing a procedure for the abatement of weeds and flammable wastes that create fire hazards where the property owner fails to do so, and that enables the City to recover its abatement work has been performed. This is an opportunity for the property owners to protest this assessment.)
VIII. NEW BUSINESS
(Based on the proposed rates, the increase for a standard 32-gallon residential can would be $1.22 per month, or an additional $14.64 for the year. The increase for a 2-yard bin would be $14.62 per month, or $175.44 per year.)
(The purpose of the Amended and Restated Joint Powers Agreement is to update the existing agreement to reflect the actual manner in which the joint powers authority is currently operating.)
