            A.  Approve City Council Minutes of May 21, 2012

VII.      PUBLIC HEARING

            A.  Open Public Hearing and hear any objections by the noticed property owners of properties on which a nuisance has been declared to exist within the Brisbane Weed Abatement Program, Close the Public Hearing and sustain or overrule any objections which have been raised, and give direction to the enforcement officer to clear the properties that have not complied with the notice

                  (In April of 2009, the City Council adopted an ordinance establishing a procedure for the abatement of weeds and flammable wastes that create fire hazards where the property owner fails to do so, and that enables the City to recover its abatement work has been performed.  This is an opportunity for the property owners to protest this assessment.)

VIII.     NEW BUSINESS

            A.  Consider approval of the annual rate increase for solid waste services provided from South San Francisco Scavenger Company effective July 2, 2012

                  (Based on the proposed rates, the increase for a standard 32-gallon residential can would be $1.22 per month, or an additional $14.64 for the year.  The increase for a 2-yard bin would be $14.62 per month, or $175.44 per year.)

            B.   Consider adoption of Resolution No. 2012-09 approving an amended and restated joint powers agreement for the North County Fire Authority

                  (The purpose of the Amended and Restated Joint Powers Agreement is to update the existing agreement to reflect the actual manner in which the joint powers authority is currently operating.)
