1. Habitat Enhancement/Open Space

2. Recreational/Public Space use Areas

3. Public/Private Space Use Areas

6. Additional Elements

7. Governance, Economics, Operations and Maintenance

Council is requested to review each of these recommendations and provide input on items they agree, disagree or desire additional information on.

(As a precursor to the selection of a community alternative for the Baylands Specific Plan to be studied in the upcoming draft EIR, the City hired The Dangermond Group (TDG) in late 2008 to prepare a public space plan for the Baylands. TDG has subsequently participated in a City Council workshop in January 2009, reviewed relevant materials generated through the extensive Baylands community process to date, held workshops with the Planning Commission, Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission, and Open Space and Ecology Committee, and met with various stakeholder groups. Their preliminary observations and recommendations, including a draft public space map, will be presented at this meeting.)
