VII. NEW BUSINESS

A. Consider approval of an exclusive Yacht Broker Agreement with Anchor Boat Sales

(This action would make the purchase and sale of boats easier by having an on-site yacht broker at the Brisbane Marina.)

B. Review Memorandum from City Attorney on the request for the City to consider adopting a Local Business Enterprise Ordinance and give direction to staff

(At a recent meeting of the City Council, the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce suggested that the City explore the possibility of adopting a local business enterprise ordinance, citing as examples the cities of San Francisco, Oakland and East Palo Alto. The City Attorney looked at the programs for these cities as well as other jurisdictions and the Council will consider the issues that this report contains and give direction to staff.)

C. Consider introduction of Ordinance 538, waiving first reading, adding Chapter 8.50 to the Municipal Code concerning weed and flammable waste abatement

(The purpose of this Ordinance is to establish procedures for the abatement of weeds and flammable waste constituting a fire hazard and the collection of abatement costs from the owner of the property on which the abatement work is performed.)
