A. Adopt City Council Minutes of May 3, 2010

B. Sierra Point Landscape and Lighting District

1. Adopt Resolution No. 2010-18, “Appointing Attorney for the Sierra Point Landscaping and Lighting District for the Fiscal Year 2010-2011.”

2. Adopt Resolution No. 2010-19, “Appointing Engineer for the Sierra Point Landscaping and Lighting District for the Fiscal Year 2010-2011.”

3. Adopt Resolution No. 2010-20, “Describing Improvements and Directing Preparation of Engineer’s Report for the Sierra Point Landscaping and Lighting District for the Fiscal Year 2010-2011.”

C. Approve Co-sponsorship for co-sponsorship of the Brisbane Library presentation of the film “Butterflies and Bulldozers”

VII. PUBLIC HEARING

A. Consider adoption of Ordinance No. 543, waiving first reading, adding Chapter 15.72 to the Municipal Code to establish indoor water conservation regulations

(This ordinance will insure compliance with the provisions of State law and reduce indoor water demands from both commercial and residential properties.)

B. Consider adoption of Ordinance No. 544, waiving first reading, amending Chapter 15.70 of the Municipal Code establishing water conservation in landscaping regulations

(This ordinance will insure compliance with the provisions of State law (Assembly Bill 1881) to reduce landscaping irrigation demands from both commercial and residential properties.)

VIII. NEW BUSINESS

A. Consider establishment of a program to rehabilitate and install energy efficiency measures on homes owned by lower income households in Brisbane with a supplemental appropriation from the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund in the amount of $35,000

(The purpose of this program will be to promote energy efficiency and rehabilitate homes owned by lower income households in Brisbane.)

B. Consider approval of Resolution No. 2010-22 ratifying and approving the agreement for purchase of real property identified as Assessor's Parcel Number 007-570-110 and authorizing execution of closing documents on behalf of the City and approval of a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $80,000

(This item is to implement the Settlement Agreement discussed above and preserve additional habitat and open space in the Brisbane Acres.)

C. Accept Report providing information related to CalPERS retirement benefits

(This item is to provide the City Council and the public with information related to the Cal PERS Two Years Additional Service Credit Benefit.)

D. Consider approval the proposed rate increase by South San Francisco Scavenger Company

(This item implements the annual formula rate increase for solid waste collection as provided for in the Franchise Agreement. The increase for the typical 32 gallon residential bin would be $1.16 per month.)

E. Consider authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract with Fred Kent of Project for Public Spaces for follow-up placemaking presentations

(This contract would engage the services of Fred Kent to make two follow-up placemaking presentations. The first would focus on placemaking in a mixed use downtown context, as envisioned in one draft Housing Element scenario under consideration. The second presentation relates to placemaking along waterfronts and would be applicable to Sierra Point.)
