(Participation in the Community Choice Aggregation program does not require an outlay of any City funds.  The County of San Mateo has provided seed money and future expenses will be covered by revenues from ratepayers.  Peninsula Clean Energy will not be a profit-driven enterprise.  All revenues over expenses can be reinvested to improve pricing, focus on environmental conscious power purchases and fund locally beneficial power projects at the election of the Peninsula Clean Energy Board.)
