Scheduled Water Shutdown

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

The City of Brisbane Public Works Department will be turning off the water to the following areas on Thursday, July 28th from 9:00am - 1:00pm in order to make necessary improvements to the local water mains:

41-49 Joy Avenue
8 Joy Avenue
12-45 Gladys Avenue
1000-1002 San Bruno Avenue

Notices have been hand-delivered to all the above addresses affected by the temporary water shutdown.

If you have to leave your home after the water has been turned off, please ensure that all your faucets and fixtures are off to prevent the possibility of flooding when the water main is turned back on.

After the water is turned on, you may initially notice some discoloration in your water.  This is not a water quality problem.  Turn your cold water on for several minutes until it runs clear, and then resume normal use.

If you have any other questions regarding this shutdown, please contact Jerry Flanagan in the Public Works Department at 415-508-2130.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you, and thank you for your patience while the improvements to the water system are being made.
